How we think about this work.
Slow is a feature
We do not push for quick fixes. Change you can keep is usually built over months, not sessions.
Plain language
No jargon, no diagnosis theater. We talk about what is happening in your life in words you already use.
Fit comes first
The relationship is the therapy. If we are not a fit, we will help you find someone who is.
You stay in charge
You set the pace and the priorities. We bring structure, you bring the direction.
What we work on.
These are the threads that bring most people through the door. You do not need to fit one neatly.
Anxiety & worry
Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and the busy-mind spiral that makes rest impossible.
Grief & loss
The long, non-linear shape of grief, whether the loss is recent or you are only now feeling it.
Life transitions
Career changes, parenthood, divorce, empty nests - the times when everything rearranges at once.
Depression & low mood
The heavy, grey version of ordinary life, and the small structures that start to lift it.
Relationships
Communication patterns, attachment, and the distance that creeps in between two well-meaning people.
Self-compassion
The inner critic, perfectionism, and learning to treat yourself the way you treat people you love.
People do not heal from being managed. They heal from being understood, slowly, by someone who stays put.
The therapists.
Two of us, both licensed, both people first. Fit matters more than credentials, so ask us anything.

Grace Linden, LCSW
Founder & therapist
Anxiety, grief, and life transitions for adults. Trained in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and grief counseling.

Owen Marsh, LPC

Depression, self-compassion, and the inner critic. Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.
How it starts.
From the first call to ongoing sessions, the pace is yours.
A free 20-minute call
No intake forms, no commitment. We talk about what is bringing you in and whether we are a reasonable fit.
Your first session
50 minutes to build a picture together: your history, your context, and what you want to be different.
A plan you can live with
After a few sessions we check in on whether the work is useful and adjust - or refer on - honestly.
Ongoing, at your pace
Weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Some people come for months, some for a season. Both are fine.
What people say.
Grace is the first therapist who did not make me feel like a case file. She asked the right questions and remembered the answers.
I came in certain therapy was not for me. Owen made it feel like a practical conversation with someone on my side.
They told me honestly when a different kind of care would be better. That honesty is why I stayed.
The office.
A quiet second-floor space in the Alphabet District, two blocks from Slabtown.
Portland, OR 97210
You do not need a story first.
Call or write. If we are not a fit, we will help you find someone who is. That is a promise, not a sales line.
