Assessment.
Testing is a way to move from a question you cannot answer alone to a conclusion you can take to a school, a workplace, or a physician.

Common questions
What is the difference between therapy and assessment?
Therapy is ongoing support for how you feel and function. Assessment answers specific diagnostic questions with standardized testing and a written report.
Do I need a referral for an assessment?
No. You can request one directly. If another provider asked for the evaluation, we will coordinate with them and share the report with your consent.
Can you prescribe medication?
Psychologists cannot prescribe in Massachusetts. If medication is indicated, we work closely with your physician or psychiatrist and share our findings.
How long does an assessment take?
Most are completed within four to six weeks, including scheduling the testing day and writing the report.
